Town of Hamburg Highway Department Policy Change:
According to a recent article published in the Hamburg Sun, the Town of Hamburg Highway Department is now requiring residents to use paper lawn bags (instead of plastic) for their leaves. Leaves left curbside in plastic bags will NOT be picked up. This notice only applies to the single and zero-lot line homes. Please adjust your habits accordingly to avoid your leaves being left at your curb.
The Board has been informed that there is currently a proposal being made to the Town of Hamburg to construct up to 5 new apartment buildings between South Park Ave and Riley Blvd. Given the close proximity to our neighborhood, the additional traffic and congestion that would result may be a concern to our residents. Please consider contacting the Town of Hamburg to voice any concerns you may have regarding this proposal. In order for these new apartment buildings to be constructed, the land would have to be re-zoned as residential. As we receive more info, we will post on the website. Please share this information with your neighbors if you are concerned to ensure all are aware.
Dave Canfield, the owner of the company that provides snow plowing services for the townhouses, mentioned that he is willing to offer plow services to single family homeowners and zero lot line homeowners for the 2024/2025 season if enough residents show interest. In fact, Dave even mentioned purchasing additional equipment to keep on our property to facilitate efficiency and the possibility of a group discount if enough residents hire him. Please contact Dave if you are interested. He can be reached at 716-574-7496.
